Operation Christmas Child
Lakeside Baptist Church is collecting items for Operation Christmas Child, a program by Samaritan’s Purse that “collects shoebox gifts filled with fun toys, school supplies and hygiene items—and delivers them to children in need around the world to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way.”
On the third Sunday of each month, Lakeside will have an “Operation Christmas Child” Sunday. Bring items to fill shoeboxes and place them in the collection box in the foyer.
If you would rather donate a monetary gift, you may do so by November 14th and our volunteers will pack boxes for you.
National Collection Week is November 18-25th, 2024. Lakeside will accept shoeboxes boxes until noon on November 24th. Remember to include a $10 donation per box to cover shipping as well as the cost of The Greatest Gift Gospel materials which are provided to each child who receives a shoebox.

Florida Baptist Children's Homes
Lakeside Baptist Church supports One More Child throughout the year. On the first Sunday of each month, members and visitors who celebrated birthdays or anniversaries the previous month are honored during the morning service. A special offering is collected to support our local Florida Baptist Children’s Home.
Each summer, children participate in a competitive love offering at Lakeside’s VBS. Girls and boys scour change jars, sofas, and car floorboards to gather coins for a chance to pie a VBS worker in the face. The real winners are the children at Florida Baptist Children’s Homes, as 100% of the offering is donated to One More Child.
